Meeting, January 5, 2009
Temporary quarters
6:00 p.m.

Agenda Items:
Library Cleaning and Maintenance:
Kelly and Harold have checked Shirley and Shrewsbury libraries that have employed outside contractors for cleaning and maintenance. It is anticipated that it would take two people 3.5 – 4 hours per night to clean the new building. These outside companies are licensed, bonded and insured, and their employees are CORI checked. Harold suggested that a multi-year contract would probably result in a less costly contract. It was proposed that these services be subcontracted under DPW, but supervised by Kelly.
New Building Generator:
Harold strongly urged the building committee to install a Caterpillar generator in the new building, as that company has the best maintenance history.
Minutes:
The minutes of the December 1st, 2008 meeting were approved.
Annual Report:
It was moved by Bob, seconded by Roland, and passed unanimously to approve the Annual Report as amended.
FY10 Budget:
Kelly presented the FY2010 budget. It was moved by Roland, seconded by Chris to approve the budget.
LCC:
The project is currently on target and on budget. The LCC voted to restore the small dormers.
Bob received a call from Paula Berg inquiring what it would take to get the Library LEED certified.
Snow:
Bob spoke to Stan Wysocki about snow and ice at the temporary quarters. Bob has a message out to Dr. Freidus to talk about this issue.
Town Caucus:
Town Caucus will be March 16th. It is believed that two of the trustees will need to be nominated that evening.
The next meeting will be Monday, February 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the temporary quarters.
